Peter was born in Taos, New Mexico. He received his Masters Degree in Education from the University of Oregon and has since travelled to and fro extensively. His first paid video job came at the tail end of a 6,000 mile motorcycle ride to the Yucatan Peninsula. Eventually he bought a one way to ticket to India where he completed a Film Directors course at the Asian Academy of Film and Television in New Delhi. After the course he worked as a freelance director in Malaysia for three years documenting music, art, food and eco-tourism communities throughout South East Asia. Upon returning to New Mexico, he accompanied a burly group of raft guides down to Costa Rica to shoot a documentary on protecting the Rio Pacuare from being damned. The silliest thing he ever did was attack his Aikido teacher over and over, always with the same results. He currently balances his year between teaching media classes for the University of New Mexico Taos, chairing the Digital Media Arts department, working as an outdoor leader at Ghost Ranch in the summer and training in the martial art of Aikido. He hopes that this site will be a platform for interacting with fellow media artists and to share galleries of work that would otherwise be scattered to the wind.
